Flexus Accessories
The Flexus platform can be enhanced by the addition of various peripheral devices, increasing functionality and eliminating the need for user intervention. A number of plug’n’play modules are available and can be placed on the deck as required.

96-Pipetting Head
In addition, a 96-pipetting option is available as an integrated unit. This can be used either as a stand alone accessory for small plate filling tasks or controlled within the Flexus software for a totally automated protocol. |
Centrifuge
|
Unique to the Flexus platform is the ability to fully integrate a two plate centrifuge directly into the deck.
This centrifuge is fully controlled through the standard software and enables automation of applications such as protein precipitation, blood typing or using gel cards, making them more reproducible and more efficient.

Extend the X-Range
Extended x-range models allow for the interaction of modules on the deck with peripheral devices off the deck such as plate stackers/washers/readers etc.
Extensions can be accommodated on either side or on both sides of the deck. |
Plate Incubator
Assays and protocols requiring incubation can be set up on the Flexus unit and run from start to finish without user intervention, using the four or five place microtitre plate incubator. This device can be located off the bed area and still be accessed via the gripper tool, allowing for maximum sample storage on deck. |
Plate Shaker
|
Plate shakers are required for certain assays to ensure homogeneity of reagents and samples.
Either single or four microplate configurations can be mounted on the bed area to ensure minimal user involvement.

Flexible Sample Identification
|
Tracking your samples is critical in all high throughput applications and Flexus takes care of this. Samples to be cherry picked can be identified by bar code on either a tube or plate. Once transferred to the required destination or assay plate, their exact position can be traced. Most commercially available bar codes can be read. The information in the bar codes can be imported or exported from most LIMS systems.
