Advanced Tube & Vial Handling

The Flexus TVH, is an enhanced version of the Anachem Flexus automated liquid handler, with tube and vial handling capabilities. The Flexus range of automated liquid handlers are highly flexible instruments, capable of performing many different liquid handling tasks, using either washable or disposable tips. A choice of deck size and probe number allows the user to customize the basic unit to suit their throughput. A plate gripper, with rotational movement, is used to move plates to and from stacks, assemble and disassemble a vacuum station, interact with the integrated centrifuge and to read bar codes. The Flexus TVH’s tube gripper manipulates a range of tube sizes. Tubes or vials can be picked up, using the gripper, their bar codes read and placed onto the combined capper/decapper/balance.

The combined Capping/Decapping/Weighing module simplifies the overall design, reducing maintenance and down time, and speeds up the process. Screw caps are removed and replaced as required for addition/removal of reagents/samples and for tube taring/weighing.

The Flexus TVH, can also be used for pipetting viscous liquids, which are difficult to pipette with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Dispensing viscous liquids by weight, instead of volume, is significantly more accurate and precise.

The integration of a Covaris Adaptive Focused Acoustic device enables isothermal mixing, dissolution and disruptive processes to be applied to many sample types. This feature brings added advantages for the use of Flexus in compound management.

Additional modules can be added to enhance the capability of the Flexus TVH, for example, heating, cooling, shaking, SMS and email notification etc.
