The Innovadyne Nanodrop low volume liquid handling platforms, provide a non-contact, valve-free fluid pathway and deliver a robust and low-maintenance means of achieving assay volume reduction without compromising precision or accuracy. These products serve the HTS, genomics and proteomics markets to enable miniaturized screening assays, bead and cell-based assays, protein crystallization screens, and low-volume genomic amplification protocols in 96, 384, 1536, and 3456 formats. The reduction achieved in volumes can greatly reduce running costs, which are vital in today’s economic climate.
The Nanodrop is a complete system with either 8 or 16 channels and holds either one or two microtitre plates. It is capable of both aspirating and dispensing reagents and/or samples from plates or reservoirs. Nanobuilder© software is easy to use and facilitates the manipulation of a wide range of liquids, including DMSO, for a variety of applications.
The Anachem Flexus® automated liquid handling workstations are the most flexible on the market. The Flexus combines flexi-span pipettors with robotic manipulation of plates, tubes and external devices. Flexi-span probes have independent Y and Z movement and are perfect for reformatting from tubes to plates or for cherry picking samples. The base unit can accommodate up to 2 arms, each with either 1, 2, 4 or 8 pipetting probes of interchangeable washable or disposable tips, or even a combination of both. All pipetting probes are capable of liquid level and clot detection ensuring assay integrity with every run, whatever the sample type. Housed in the arm, the unique syringeless pumping system has a wide dynamic volume range (1µl to 2ml) and has extremely low maintenance requirements. The Flexus pump avoids the need for changing syringes, making it easier to use and saving time.
The deck layout is composed of removable trays holding racks of plates, tubes or reservoirs, either flat or in stacks. This allows the user to easily change to a new application by simply rearranging the trays to create a new layout. Plate and tube grippers allow for manipulation of components on and off the bed area utilizing a 270o rotation, providing easy access to peripheral units like the Nanodrop. Bar code reading of both tubes and plates facilitates sample tracking from source to destination.
